Northwest Kidney Centers plans to add an outpatient clinic in south Everett, its first in Snohomish County.
The clinic is scheduled to open in late 2020 in the Everett Mall Office Park, 1010 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite 104, in south Everett, Wash.
The new clinic will be the 20th for Northwest Kidney Centers. The nonprofit dialysis provider now operates clinics in King, Pierce and Clallam counties. It also plans to open new facilities later in 2019 in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood and in Burien.
The clinic will accommodate 54 patients to visit three times a week for blood-cleansing treatments that take about four hours each time.
The clinic and support space total 7,310 square feet with room for future expansion. Besides performing dialysis, staff members will train patients who wish to do dialysis themselves at home, and will offer community education with free classes for people with serious kidney problems. The clinic eventually may have up to 13 full-time employees.
Founded in Seattle in 1962, Northwest Kidney Centers was the first dialysis organization in the world. Today it cares for about 1,800 people with chronic kidney failure, providing about 280,000 treatments each year.
People with permanent kidney failure need regular dialysis or a kidney transplant to stay alive. For more information, visit www.nwkidney.org.
