Kaiser Permanente to expand Yesler, Capitol Hill and Everett facilities

SEATTLE — Kaiser Permanente said Friday it would was purchasing land in Seattle’s Yesler neighborhood and expanding and redesigning its existing Everett facility in the Riverside neighborhood to create new specialty care facilities.

The expansion is part of the $1 billion investment Kaiser Permanente announced in 2017 to build and upgraded its facilities in Washington

Kaiser Permanente recently launched 4 new medical facilities in Gig Harbor, Ballard, South Lake Union, and West Olympia.

A fifth new medical center in Smokey Point is scheduled to open in spring 2020. 

Kaiser Permanente purchased the Yesler property from the Seattle Housing Authority as part of an ongoing plan to improve access to health care, social services, education, and other community amenities.
