2020 Exchange Health Plan Choices Available for Preview Now through October 31, 2019

Customers have the opportunity to compare plans and rates prior to open enrollment

Washington Health Benefit Exchange today announced 2020 health plans are available for preview starting today. Washington Healthplanfinder customers will have access to preview plans prior to the 2020 open enrollment and may signup to receive a reminder email when plans are available to purchase from November 1 through December 15.

The plan preview is available until Washington Healthplanfinder begins final open enrollment system readiness on October 31 beginning at 1 p.m.

Plan preview will allow users to browse sixty-six Qualified Health Plans from nine insurance companies. Customers are encouraged to visit Washington Healthplanfinder to access plan preview by signing into their account, selecting APPLY NOW from the home page, and then clicking Browse Plans.

Additionally, users are encouraged to sign-up to receive a reminder email when open enrollment begins by clicking on the Remind Me button.

Open enrollment for 2020 plans begins November 1 through December 15.  During this time the Exchange Customer Support Center based in Spokane Valley will be open normal operating hours and ready to receive calls from 7:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.  Additionally, extended hours scheduled:

November:

• Open on November 11 (Veteran’s Day) and
• November 29 (the day after Thanksgiving)

December:

• December 1 – 10: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• December 11 – 14 from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• December 15 (Sunday) from 7:30 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.
• December 16 – 30 from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Open on two Saturdays in December – the 7th and 14th (hours TBD)

During open enrollment last year, over 370,000  customers  accessed Washington Healthplanfinder submitting more than 445,000 applications.

Reminders: Enrollment is offered year-round to individuals and families through Washington Apple Health (Medicaid). Customers enrolled in Apple Health will receive a notice of 60 days before the month they enrolled in or renewed their coverage last year.
